Don’t you fall in the river!! This is what my wife shouted as I balanced myself on the rocks so I could shoot up stream. She doesn’t realize a photographer will go wherever to get that “perfect shot”. The water is the Merced River. In the fall of 2012, the water level was low and the flow slower than in the spring. I felt safe. But it was slippery. Vernal Falls is the one closest. Above it is Nevada Falls.
